If You Need to Contact Me/
Help in Emergencies
When you call my work number, (805)
966-3616, you will either speak with me directly, or you will get my
voice mailbox. This protects your confidentiality. If you get my
voicemail, feel free to leave a detailed message. Also, be sure to
provide a phone number where I can reach you and times when you are
available.
If you have a behavioral or emotional
crisis and cannot reach me immediately by telephone, I recommend that
you and your family members call the 211 Helpline. From any landline in
the state of California, you simply dial 2-1-1. From a cell phone you
dial 800-400-1572. The Help Line is staffed by caring individuals who
are available 24 hours a day to talk with you and provide assistance
during an emergency. Calls are answered by trained, multilingual
staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are confidential. Staff provide
immediate crisis intervention and suicide prevention and will help
identify what available programs will best meet your needs.
